Based on the last 12 months of sales. Updated May 2024
STEP 1: Choose 5-8 fragrances.
Keep in mind to not only choose fragrance that you love, but fragrances that suit your customers & stores style. If you are a beach-side store, the fresh scented candles will likely sell best for you. Too many fragrances can confuse the customer, so start small - but not so small that they don’t have variation across the different fragrance groups, (ie, Fresh, Floral, Sweet etc)
STEP 2: Select a ‘hero’ candle size.
Most customers start with Large and build the collection from there, but you can still build a great collection if you choose Medium as your core candle product. We wouldn’t recommend only the small size.
STEP 3: Add complimentary products.
Sticking with your chosen fragrances, choose complimentary products to build your collection. A Diffuser or a Room spray is a great way to offer a cross-sell for a customer, whereas a Body Bar or Small candle is a great upsell or a low cost counter purchase.
STEP 4: Choose how many units. Your hero candle should be the largest quantities and your complimentary products slightly less. Don’t feel that you need to order the same quantities of each product. Some products sell more units than others, so order accordingly. Candles, Body Bars & Hand Wash are consumed fastest by customers and therefore sell more units than Room Spray or Hand Lotions that can last many months.
Candles: We offer Large sized candles as testers. It is a great idea to have testers available for candles for the customer to touch and smell, in order to keep your sellable stock in pristine condition.
Diffusers & Deluxe: When ordering our boxed products, testers are necessary for the customers to see & smell the product. If you have a testers available of other products in the same fragrances as the boxed products, you might be able to get away with just 1 unit of each product on display.
Hand Lotions: ‘usable’ testers are a big hit for customers & offer a huge pay off for the business as customers can get ‘hands on’ experience with the product & has a lasting effect even after they leave your store, prompting them to come back!
Room sprays: Having 1 or 2 room spray testers is a great idea to impress the customer with the strong, instant fragrance, but be cautious of delicate surfaces or fabrics that the customer could damage by spraying.
We offer a retail kit to all new wholesalers. It includes tools to display, market & sell Maison Blanche products, such as;
This kit will be added to your first order with extras & updates added to subsequent orders when available.
This order works great for merchandising as the 3 products are all different heights & have different packaging which creates great visual impact. Don’t forget to add a diffuser tester!
